Front Porch Expands International SAMMA Sales, Adds Two New Sales Managers for EMEA

July 20, 2010

ANNECY, France — July 20, 2010 —  Front Porch Digital, the global leader in solutions for migrating and managing media content, today announced it has expanded its international sales staff with the addition of two regional sales managers for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Noelle Prat-Vong and Nicole Jacquemin are both assigned to expand the installation base for the company’s SAMMA products for migration of video content into digital format.

“The addition of these positions to our sales team is absolutely necessary so that we sustain our strategic successes within the EMEA video migration market,” said Rino Petricola, Front Porch Digital’s senior vice president and managing director. “Noelle and Nicole are both experienced technology professionals with proven records in international business. Their cultural and technical knowledge, together with their expertise in video and digital media, uniquely enables them to identify, advise, and serve organizations that can take advantage of SAMMA’s potential for preserving and managing cultural heritage.”

Front Porch Digital’s advanced SAMMA technology makes it easier than ever to perform high-volume migration of media assets from videotape to digital files, and to store, protect, access, retrieve, and manipulate them for repurposing later.

Prat-Vong, who has worked for a decade in both the public and private sectors of the audio/visual field, comes to Front Porch Digital most recently from OpenCube Technologies and Vectracom. Now a resident of France, she lived in the U.K. for five years.

Prat-Vong noted that the cultures of the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions are rightfully proud of their heritage and thus “in the vanguard of digital migration and preservation.” She continued, “I am delighted to be a part of the Front Porch Digital team, with its reputation for innovative solutions, unparalleled customer service, and widely implemented technologies.”

The sales manager position is a promotion for Jacquemin, who has worked for Front Porch Digital for nine years as a technical account consultant on the company’s DIVArchive™ and SAMMA product lines. Jacquemin has more than 20 years of experience in IT, telecommunications, and broadcast, having previously worked for Digital Equipment Corporation and Alex Temex Multimedia.

“The video preservation and migration market is experiencing dynamic growth and has a forward-looking approach to new technology and new media,” said Jacquemin. “I am enthused about contributing to the SAMMA product line with the same vigor I brought to the DIVArchive products.”

As members of the international sales team, both Prat-Vong and Jacquemin will be based in Front Porch Digital’s European headquarters in Annecy, France, and report to Petricola.
